Parrish and Myakka have a lot in common, especially growth issues. Our good Neighbors in Parrish invite Myakkans to attend the next meeting of the Parrish Civic Association:
Dec. 4, 7:30 p.m. at the Old Parrish Schoolhouse off of 301.
Attorney Patruff will be speaking on an overview and action plan for a proposed overlay for the 34219 area.

December 7th
"Arcadia Christmas Ornament Contest"
Grand Prize: $100
Other Prizes: cash, savings bonds, gift certificates
When: Friday night, Dec. 7, 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Guidelines for Entries:
1) Ornament should have a patriotic them. Must include a way to hang the ornament.
2) Two classes of entries: 12 yrs. and under, and 13 years and older.
3) Entries will be displayed on a tree in the window of "Downstairs Attic" at 104 W. Oak Street, Arcadia.
4) Submit entries beginning on November 1st.
5) Contest will be judged by dignitaries from Arcadia.
Winners will be announced at 8:30 p.m. during "Old Fashioned American Christmas Celebration" in downtown Arcadia beginning at 5:30 p.m. (Entrants do not have to be present to win.)
6) All entries will be given as a donation to a New York City fire station on December 10th as a token of our love and appreciation for firefighters throughout our nation.
